Parents are requested not to send sick child to school for attending classes or appearing for examinations.
Health Education & Guidelines
All parents are requested to impart Health Education to their children and encourage them to:
- Maintain personal hygiene such as trimming of nails and hair on regular basis.
- Exercise regularly, Sleep for at least eight hours daily.
- Have a balanced and protein rich diet, including milk.
- Drink water, which is either boiled or filtered. All students are advised to bring their own water bottles.
- Avoid consumption of ice creams and other eatables from roadside vendors and kiosks.
Medical & Immunization Requirements
All children should also be:
- a) De-wormed at least once a year, on the advice of the family physician.
- b) Checked by well qualified Dental Surgeon and Ophthalmologist once a year.
- c) Immunized against BCG, DPT, Polio, Measles / MMT, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Meningitis, Chicken Pox, Covid 19 etc.
- d) Given a Tetanus - Booster dose between 7-16 years of age, if injured.
Chronic Diseases: Parents of students suffering from chronic diseases like Asthma, Epilepsy etc., need to inform the school about it and fill up the details in the diary.
Quarantine Guidelines for Infectious Diseases
The students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class:
- i. Chicken Pox: Till the complete falling of scabs.
- ii. Cholera: Till weeks after the rash disappears.
- iii. Measles: Two weeks after the rash disappears.
- iv. Mumps: Until the swelling has gone.
- v. Whooping Cough: Six weeks.
- vi. Jaundice: Six weeks.
All students returning to school after suffering from infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor's certificate permitting her to do so.
